According to Nikki Laoye, the foundation of this song is the bible verse Psalm 149: 2 – 3, hence the line ‘no be say we dey craze na our God we dey praise’. Without bothering to load us with a mouthful of lyrics, she passed her message across and you could not possibly resist the urge to dance. The mix of high tempo, rhythm and harmonies also go a long way to put this song on a list of songs to dance to.

Produced by her brother, ‘Xblaze’, this track is without doubt a great jamming song. So if you are looking for a song to dance to, ‘1 – 2 – 3’ should definitely be in the mix.
