A REVIEW OF ISABELLA’S MY TORI DON CHANGE.

My Tori don change is a danceable song with African tunes. The message was also structured and not all over the place- it was obvious she was talking about where she had been and where she is now with the help of her God.

Although the video follows the typical trend (of just dancing to the song in their videos) the setting was believable and it portrayed the message of the song- My tori do change.

GODS CHAMBER- LAFF OUT WITH CHRIST

Laughter, they say, is the best medicine and Gods Chamber church located at 26, Thomas Salako, Ogba, Lagos State keyed into this as they provided the platform for LAFF OUT WITH CHRIST.

It was a show that had acts spanning from the ‘up and coming’ to the more popular established artistes: A roll call which boasted the likes of Akpororo, Mr Nomoreloss, Lepacious Bose, Grand Komander, Hadduni, MC Abbey, Owen Gee, Baba d Baba, First born and a whole lot more.

Due to constraints in venue size, the show was split in two halves. The first set of comedians came up at 2pm, while the second part of the show started at 6pm. Both sessions sold-out with audiences who kept clutching their sides and wiping away tears as
act after act came on stage, dishing out “rib cracking” jokes.

MOVE TOUR’S WAGON BRINGS DA TRUTH, THE AMBASSADOR, JAHAZIEL AND SEAN SIMMONDS TO NIGERIA.

In this age where music genres are not simply styles of music but expressions which individuals identify with, Rap music has become an established culture in Africa, with a tremendous growth in its faithful followers. Therefore, it is no surprise that the MOVE Tour Africa organized by XIST Music has been painting cities of Africa red with four of Christian Rap music’s leading voices. On Monday 3rd September, 2012, the tour team came to Ladi Kwali Hall Sheraton Hotel Abuja. In spite of the Nigeria-bound flight from Zimbabwe which was cancelled on Sunday, necessitating a postponement of the Abuja concert, the hall was surprisingly packed full Monday night when the concert was eventually held. Monday night!!! With combined proficiency in the music industry, personal experiences and a message of the gospel and hope, Da T.R.U.T.H, The Ambassador, Jahaziel and Sean Simmonds owned the audience as each performed song after song with full crowd participation.

Also performing at the concert were Nutty Josh, Sokleva ‘repping’ the Rooftop MCs, BOUQUI, Ambassage, Provabs and non-rap artistes: Solomon Lange, Mo, Samsong and Asu Ekiye.

In a few words, the MOVE Tour came to Africa and Nigerians proved that they have got the ‘RAP’ bug.
